Bilikisu Abdulgafar is a Development Strategist working at the intersection of programme development, business development, resource mobilisation, and youth and women’s empowerment. At Bridge Connect Africa Initiative (BCAI), she contributes to designing and positioning programmes, building strategic partnerships, developing proposals, and identifying opportunities that strengthen the organisation’s impact and growth.
Her work centres on gender inclusion, gender norms, and digital inclusion, with a particular focus on how social norms, access to technology and unequal opportunities shape the agency and participation of girls and young women. She has applied this lens across programmes addressing girls’ education, women’s economic empowerment, youth participation, and community-level behaviour and systems change.
Bilikisu holds a first-class degree in Applied Biology from Bayero University, Kano and has been engaged in youth leadership and community development since 2018.
