Abdulazeez is a Program Manager at Bridge Connect Africa Initiative. He leverages over four years of leadership and volunteering experience to design and implement strategies that foster stakeholder relationships and deliver impactful programs for women and young people. He is passionate about promoting youth and women socio-economic inclusion and empowerment, with a specific interest and commitment to creating access to skills development and education opportunities for them. He has proven expertise and experience in project management, strategy development and youth engagement.
Prior to Bridge Connect, Abdulazeez co-founded WeCan Africa Initiative, a youth-led organization that empowers women, girls, and young people economically and enables them to live with dignity. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from Bayero University Kano and he is a United People Global Sustainability Leader, a fellow of the TransparencIT Civic Changemakers Fellowship, a U-report Ambassador with UNICEF and a member of the African Changemakers Network. Abdulazeez’s work is driven by the belief that empowering and engaging youth is essential for creating a better future for them and the society.
